This is a sculpt that I made in 2004.

Neko-Ryu is Japanese for 'Cat Dragon'. Because I was inspired by cats, by the way they move, hunt, prowl and even growl! For many years I always wanted to own a dragon statue, and although I have always been impressed by other people's talents I still wanted to create my own. So over several years and after a few attempts I made this big fella. I spent a long time on this guy, but spread over a length of time, in my own time.

Neko Ryu by ~dreamsorcerer contains a great deal of interesting techniques and design work, the scales in particular flow very nicely with the musculature to allow for movement. The design too, especially the face has quite a unique feel to it. (Featured by `Thebuild)
